Points Database designed and created by Chipu
Point scores are maintained by Aylia/Kalynn/Kopla
The goal of this system is 3 fold:
We want to make sure that people are rewarded for spending hours upon hours at a raid. Raids can be divided into 2 different kinds:
Because these raids are done with different rewards and different time frames, we decided to address point awards differently between them:
a) Armor/Epic/Faction Farming Raids
These raids are generally time consuming, but the rewards can be great. These raids will be rewarded based on time spent. For every hour of raiding, you will receive 0.5 farming points (FP). Thus a 4 hour raid will yield 2 points.
Some examples of farming raids are: ToV, Hate (for Mini's), Fear (for Golems etc), Chardok, etc..
b) Boss Mob Raids
Boss Mob raids will actually have 2 rewards. One reward is for clearing the area to the boss. The actual 'Clearing portion' will be rewarded at 0.25 points per hour. The actual Boss Mob will be rewarded independently based on the BMP Values List (please note that the values in the BMP chart may go up or down in the future, and mobs will be added or removed from this list).
These points will be earned in addition to clearing points. For example, a 2 hour successful Fennin Ro raid will earn 0.5 point for clearing (2 hours at 0.25 point each) and 4 points for Fennin Ro himself for a total of 4.5 points for the total raid.
You can earn points for one part and not the other. So if you come to raid late, just before we take down Fennin, you can still earn the 4 BMP's for him. And likewise, if you come for the clearing but end up having to leave before we take him down, you can still earn the 0.5 clearing point for the raid.
Folks that come in late will be credited the points for the actual time spent at the raid - not the total raid time (i.e. if the raid starts at 7PM but you show up at 9PM you will be credited points from 9PM not 7PM). Boss mob points are figured in differently, so it is possible to come in late, earn half the clearing points for a raid and still earn the full BM points as listed above. Regardless of coming in late or leaving early, attendance will still be credited for that raid so long as there was participation.
Additional rewards that can be earned will be the following:
All the additional points listed above would apply to everyone present at that raid. No points will be given out for individual performance since that is a very subjective matter.
Points will be spent on any and all drops at raids. Each item will be assigned a point value. This value scale will slide up or down depending on the level of gear we are able to farm reliably.
Point Drops:
Non-point Drops:
The tiered system is in place to reward frequent raiders while still giving most everyone a chance to be in the roll. Tiers will be divided into 15 point increments for the first 5 tiers and tier spreads will continue to go up from there. This is down so that the lower tiers can climb faster and the higher tiers will climb slower giving newer members a chance to catch up to older members:
Point Tiers
| Tier Number | ||||||||||
| Tier Number | Range | Tier Number | Range | Tier Number | Range | Tier Number | Range | |||
| 25 | 1400.1-1550 | 31 | 2400.1-2600 | 37 | 3750.1-4000 | 43 | 5400.1-5700 | |||
| 26 | 1550.1-1700 | 32 | 2600.1-2800 | 38 | 4000.1-4250 | 44 | 5700.1-6000 | |||
| 27 | 1700.1-1850 | 33 | 2800.1-3000 | 39 | 4250.1-4500 | 45 | 6000.1-6350 | |||
| 28 | 1850.1-2000 | 34 | 3000.1-3250 | 40 | 4500.1-4800 | 46 | 6350.1-6700 | |||
| 29 | 2000.1-2200 | 35 | 3250.1-3500 | 41 | 4800.1-5100 | 47 | 6700.1-7050 | |||
| 30 | 2200.1-2400 | 36 | 3500.1-3750 | 42 | 5100.1-5400 | 48 | 7050.1-7400 |
(PLEASE NOTE: There is no tier cap - the tiers will continue to expand increasing the point spread - from 350 to 400 to 450 and so on. As new tiers open up they will be listed here - there is no need to list them until they are actually in use. )
Therefore, a person with 28 points would be in Tier 2 and someone with 110 points would be in Tier 5. Rolls will be done based on your Tier number, so someone in Tier 1 gets 1 number, tier 2 gets 2 numbers, Tier 3 gets 3 numbers and so on.
Here is an example:
Loot_01 drops - and 3 people want in the lotto:
Joe has 10 points - Tier 1 Bob has 28 points - Tier 2 Jane has 62 points - Tier 3
The roll would look like this:
Joe 1, Bob 2 3, Jane 4 5 6
/random 1 6 ---- rolls a 5: Congrats Jane!
You can move up and down the Tier scale as you earn and spend points.
So we covered points earned, we covered the Tier system and covered how we spend points. So, the next question is who can be in the lotto?
There are 3 factors that will determine lotto elligibily:
1) Usage
The only people elligible to be in the lotto are people that can use the item being and lottoed and if the item is an upgrade. I don't want to see people going in the lotto for an item just to turn around and sell it. If you go in the lotto with the intent to sell an item for profit, it will be grounds for removal from the guild. We are here to equip everyone with good gear - not to fill the market with more stuff.
You may also not win the lotto on an item and then choose to default it to someone else. If you choose to enter a lotto, the item has to be for you - you will pay points for it.
2) Points
Next, you need to have the points to go in for an item. If a 20 point item drops and you only have 15 points you cannot go in for that item. Keep in mind that you cannot go negative in your points, so even if the item will rot, if you don't have the points for the item you cannot get it.
It is your responsibility to keep track of your points. Points freeze at the begining of a raid and you need to make sure that you do not loot more items than you have points for. If you go negative, the first item that you looted that made you go negative will be charged at double the points. The second item that makes you go negative will be charged at triple the points and so on. For example:
Joe has 100 points at the start of the Fennin Ro Raid. He loots a belt and arms for 50 points each. Therefore he has spent 100 points already. In the same night, he loots a pair of boots for 50 more points and finally an earring for 40 points. Therefore, Joe came to the raid with 100 points, but he spent a total 190 points. Here is how he would be charged for those items:
Belt - 50 points Arms - 50 points (100 points spent already) Boots - 50 points - since he went negative these cost him 100 points (first negative item costs double) Earring - 40 points - since he went negative these cost him 120 points (second negative item costs triple)
Joe has will be charged a total of 320 points for all the items he looted. Please pay attention through the night - we don't want to have to overcharge anyone for items looted!
3) Tiers
In order to give those who raid more a bigger bite at the loot apple, you Tier will be taken into account when going in the lotto for an item. There can only be a maximum of 4 tier differences between the people in the lotto.
How does this work? Simple - here is an example:
UberLoot_02 All/All item worth 20 points, drops. There are 4 people that want in the lotto:
Jane has 50 points - Tier 2 Bob has 90 points - Tier 4 Joe has 186 points - Tier 8 Nancy has 130 points - Tier 6
Joe is the highest person in the lotto at Tier 8. Therefore the lowest person in the lotto can be Tier 4 and not lower. This means that even though Jane has 50 points, she is out - she cannot be in the lotto for this item.
The roll would go like this:
Bob 1 2 3 4, J oe 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12, Nancy 13 14 15 16 17 18 /random 1 18 ---- rolls a 12 - Grats Joe!
Joe pays 20 points and loots the item. Joe now has 166 points and has dropped back down to Tier 7. Bob and Nancy have not spent any points.
So, how many items can one person win during a raid? As many as they have points for. For example, if at the start of the raid, player 1 has 20 points, and they win a pair of legs for 15 points, they can still spend 5 more points during that raid.
4) Officer Intervention
Officers at some times, will have the right to class restrict items that result in a better upgrade to one class above all others. Generally items with special abilities or rare items might fall in this category.
In even more rare situations, officers will have a right to merit an item to a certain player if they feel it will merit the guild as a whole more so than any one individual. These situations will be extremely rare but they will occur. In these cases, the recipients of these items will STILL pay full points for the item if they choose to take it, just as if they had won the lotto for it.
Officers also have the right to remove someone from a lotto if they feel that the improvement they are trying to get is minor, and that improvement would benefit another significantly. This can also happen if someone has won an item that night or multiple items in the last week. An example of this, is a player that has won several good 1HS weapons, might be restricted in order to give other members a chance to upgrade their gear as well
Lastly, Officers will at times, allow a player to go negative in points in order to loot an item without the double point penalty. This will happen extremely rarely, and will only take place when the item in question is a very rare high end item. This will also only happen if the person wanting to go negative is the only person that wants or can use the item and the item would have otherwise rotted. If another player who has the points for the item wants to go in for the item, then of course they would not have to compete with the player without the required points,
Officer intervention will only take place in a lotto is all officers agree to the intervention and only an item might benefit the guild as a whole much more so than one particular individual.
V. Loot Freeze
Anyone who's MONTHLY attendance is below 50% will NOT be
allowed to go in for any loot items. Please keep in mind that this will not take into
account your overall attendance but only your MONTHLY attendance.
Going foward, in order to make this a fair shot, until the first 10 PA's for the month, we
will look at your PREVIOUS monthly attendance. Why will we do this? Simple - here is an
example:
Player: Jon
December attendance: 30%
Overall attendance: 60%
This player would be on loot restriction until his monthly attendance goes above 30%.
As of January 3 - The guild has raided 2 times. Jon showed up for both raids. Therefore,
here are Jon's totals on the first week of January:
December attendance: 30%
January attendance: 100%
Overall attenance: 60%
So Jon didn't show up for most of the raids in December, therefore, once the month starts
new again, if we are lucky enough to have Jon bless us with his presence, he will be at
100% attendance after 2 raids - that means he raided one day. Therefore, until the monthly
PA is 10 (which means as a whole, the guild has raided 10 times) we will look at your
PREVIOUS month in order to determine loot elligibility.
For now, lets calll this number the FI (Freeze index). The FI is subject to change in the
future if it looks like 6 raids is not enough or that 10 raids is too much. Officers will
be checking attendance on all lottos - anyone that does not meet the requirements will be
put on loot freeze and blocked from all lottos. This includes spells, vault items,
quest items and any other drops.
VI. Turning stuff back in
When it comes to droppable items, those can be turned in back to the vault (if they were gotten in a guild raid to begin with) for points reimbursement. Please note that the point reimbursement will occurr either on the current point scale or based on points paid - whichever is LOWER. For example, if you got a Trak BP and paid 15 points for it 4 months ago, but now, that same BP is only worth 10 points, you will only receive 10 points back for turning that BP back in to the vault. On the same token, if you got a 1HS weapon which 3 months ago cost you 15 points and now the weapon is priced at 30 points, you will be refunded 15 points.
All items turned back into the vault for points will be relottoed back out to the guild. If no one wants/needs it it will be sold on public auction for guild funds.
Please note that points will FREEZE at the begining of any raid. This means that even if you turn in an item at the begining of or during a raid, credit will not be given until after the raid is completed. This is to keep folks from trying to up their tiers on the fly when something good drops. Points will not be deducted as items are looted so it is up to each player to track his points and make sure he/she does not go negative and get penalized. This is why it is VERY IMPORTANT that you make sure your points have been added correctly from previous raids, because NO ADJUSTMENTS will be made once the raid starts - even if points were wrong to begin with. It is YOUR responsibility to make sure your points are credited properly.
It is also your responsibility to know how many points you have and what Tier you are in before the raid. When an item drops you need to send a /tell with your name, Tier and number of points to the person doing the lotto.
/tell Kalynn, "In for boots - Tier 1 - 14 points"
You will only be added to the lotto after you send a /TELL with this information. DO NOT say this information in guildsay, DO NOT say it in groupsay, DO NOT say it in say - use /TELL to make sure the person running the lotto does not miss you. Lottos are done very fast (generally 30 seconds or less) to keep the raid moving, so pay attention and don't get left out.
Also, keep in mind, that points earned during the raid are not added in until AFTER the raid is completed and all loot is distributed, so they cannot be used for anything dropped during that raid - only future raids.
a) No-drop loot
All no-drop loot will be lottoed per tiers and points as described above. If no main characters want/have the points for the no-drop item dropped, the item can be lottoed for 50+ alts. Points will be paid for these items as normal. So a 10 point item will still cost 10 points if someone is lottoing it for an alt.
In order for an alt to be elligible for any no drop loot, it must be 50+ and either in the same zone or just outside the raiding zone. We will not be gating alts all over creation to come loot items or waiting for alts to come to us.
Under no circumstance will raid items be given to anyone outside the guild. Any applicants can be in the lotto for no-drop items if no mains want it. Applicants will pay points for those items as well and may not go negative. Any items not lottoed for mains or alts or even applicants will rot.
b) Tradeable Loot
Tradeable items will be lottoed per our point/tier system among all main characters present at the raid. If no mains want the item, then the item may (at officer's discretion) be lottoed to applicants. If no mains or applicants want the item, it will be placed in the guild vault for funds or future purchase.
Please note, that alts will not be allowed into the lotto for any tradeable items.
Any guild members can purchase items at the public vault for cash. Those items will be sold to guildmembers for 75% of the market value of the item. Please note that we are not offering a re-selling service plan, and items purchased from the guild vault are not to be re-sold into the market. If you are purchasing items from the guildvault at the reduced membership rate, with the intent to re-sell these items to the market, it will be grounds for removal from the guild.
Please post any questions you may have on the loot system on our points message boards, or contact an officer in game if you need further clarification.
